New to the site?

When you visit Your Treasures, you’ll see that there’s plenty of things you can do!

Browse

All treasures are arranged into categories by type of object, for example ‘Artwork’, ‘Lamps & Lighting’ or ‘Photography’. These categories are listed on the left-hand side of the screen.

View latest contributions

You can see all the latest contributions to the site by clicking on the ‘View latest contributions’ button in the top navigation bar. The three most recent contributions are also listed on the Your Treasures homepage.

Search

In any part of the site you can search for treasures using keywords that may appear in the description of each item.

Sort contributions

You can sort all the treasures on the site in three ways:

• By contributor
  You can view all the treasures contributed by a particular person by clicking on the ‘Contributed by:’ name when you’re looking at a specific treasure.

• By category
  You can view all the treasures on the site that use the same category. Just click on any of the categories listed on the left-hand side of the screen to see all the contributions in that category.

• By tags
  You can look at all the treasures that use the same tag. To sort contributions by tags, you can do this by either clicking on a individual tag on the View tags page or clicking on one of the tags listed on the individual treasures pages.
  Tags are another way of organising peoples’ contributions and are created by contributors themselves. (If you’re not familiar with tags, you can find out more on the What are tags? page.)

Subscribe

There are three RSS feeds available on this site. You can subscribe to feeds for the treasure featured on the homepage, for the latest contributions to the site, or for specific treasure’s categories. When a new treasure is added to any of these feeds you will automatically by notified. (If you’d like to know more about RSS feeds, read the What’s this? page.

Print or save

You can save or print information on this site for your own personal use, but not for commercial or other purposes.

Email to a friend

If you find a treasure that you think someone you know would be interested in, you can send them an email containing the link to the relevant page.

Alert the moderator

If you find a contribution on this site which you believe breaks the site rules, you can let us know clicking on the ‘Alert the moderator’ link which is located at the bottom of every individual treasure’s page.
